この小稿では、日本各地で行われた中世城郭の調査において検出された掘立柱建物跡のなかから、若干の例を選ぶかたちで、その規模や間取りについて、あるいはその上屋構造について推察し、現段階での考察を述べるものである。

要旨・内容 (英語)

Today, the many ruins-Buildings of the medieval Castles are excavated in Japan. These ruins-Buildings brought the new data on the history of Japanese Houses. ln these ruins, SHUDEN … the main hall, KYAKUDEN … the reception hall, or the shanty and the warehouse, … etc., are contained in one area encluded by earthwork.
ln this report, we speak about the scale, the plane, and the structure of these ruins-Buildings.
