魚食文化普及に向けた教育プログラムの研究―八戸イカの日フェスティバルを事例として―

要旨・内容

八戸はイカの漁獲高日本一を誇る地域であるが、近年の全国的な魚離れを背景として、魚食文化の普及が課題とされている。令和元年4月に海業支援施設「浜市場みなとっと」が館鼻岸壁近くに新設され、8月に「第1回八戸イカの日フェスティバルinみなとっと」が開催されることになった。本学創生デザイン学科の学生が、賑わい創出や親子三世代で楽しめるイベント案を構想、主催者側と打ち合わせを重ね準備を進めた。開催期間2日間に22名の学生が7つのプログラムにスタッフとして参加し企画運営を担った。本研究では、その経過報告を纏めると同時に、地域貢献型教育プログラムとしての今後の応用展開と発展性を探究する。

要旨・内容 (英語)

Squid catch at Hachinohe Port is ranked at the top in Japan, but as a smaller amount of fish has been eaten nation-wide, the promotion of fishing eating culture is considered to be a challenge even in Hachinohe. A new fishery industry supporting facility, named Hamaichiba Minatotto, opened in April 2019, and the first Hachinohe Squid Day Festival was held in August. A number of students from the Creative Design Department, Hachinohe Institute of Technology, were involved in creating bustling space in the facility and planning pleasant events for visiting families. Twenty-two students of the department supported seven programs as the stuff members of the two-day grand opening. This study summarizes the students’ involvement in the newly opened facility and discusses the possibility and future development of this community-contributing educational program.
