要旨・内容

『島守弁ミニ事典』には、青森県八戸市にある島守地区の方言が収録されている。本稿では、事典の第1章に収録されている島守方言について、品詞とアクセントに関する記述を行った。DVDに収録された方言の読み上げ音声を分析し、アクセントのパターンを記した。以下のことが明らかになった。
上がり目を持つ名詞は、一部の例外を除いて、最も数が多い。また、上がり目と下がり目を持つ名詞では、語末のみ高くあるいは低く発音するものが最も多い。アクセントが中高になる場合、ピッチが語末の2、3拍前にあるものが多い。また、2拍目で上昇するものより、3拍目以降で上昇する語のほうが多い。上昇・下降のない名詞は、語末が長音表記のものが多い。

要旨・内容 (英語)

Shimamori-ben Mini-Jiten recorded a dialect from the Shimamori district of Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture. This paper describes the Shimamori dialect in Chapter 1 of the dictionary in terms of parts of speech and accents. Accent patterns were identified by analyzing recorded voices reading the dialect on the DVD. The following points were clarified.
Most nouns had a rising pitch accent, with a few exceptions. For nouns with rising and falling pitch accents, only the very end of the word is usually pronounced high or low. In most cases where the accent is middle-high, the pitch is two or three moras before the end of the word. Additionally, more words rise after the third mora than on the second mora. Many nouns without high or low accents have long vowels at the end of the word.
